Hello Alena

A little blog of boredom.

Michelle Bachmann, the new Sarah Palin…

… but worse! I get it, there’s liberal and conservatives and in between. And then there’s the Tea Party. I really admired Hillary Clinton, being a woman force in politics, and then Sarah Palin was in the picture. I more tolerated her than anything because I really couldn’t picture her in the White House. The same went with this year’s Tea Party candidate for president 2012 election, Michelle Bachmann. Her slip-ups were amusing like assuming Elvis’s anniversary was celebrating his birthday but it was actually his death. Or even better, the John Wayne and John Wayne Gacy mix up! You didn’t even need a punch line with that mistake.

If you don’t know what she said on the Today Show, here’s a short clip from Hulu. It just beyond frustrates me, even angers me about what she said. You cannot, as a person in power and on national TV, say things like the HPV vaccine is a very dangerous drug and may cause mental retardation with NO medical or scientific proof to back up what you say. After Jenny McCarthy, a lot of parents double thought vaccines and still do! There has since been research to refute this false claim! Also, I really don’t understand the “immoral” aspect of the HPV vaccine. Just because you vaccinate your daughter at a young age doesn’t mean you are corrupting her. You are PROTECTING her in the FUTURE.

Apparently, Mrs. Bachmann has a long history of saying everything and anything she hears, wrong or right. But if you want anyone to take you seriously or think you have any type of credentials and credibility to run for president of the United States, you might want to research what you say first. Or, at least stick the script your team put together for you. Let’s hope what she said about the HPV vaccine to deter parents from getting their daughters vaccinated.
